My Focus Ghia Tdci had been sat on the drive for the past two months while I was on military training. I have come back and started up my car after putting a new battery in and it started, but soon after it cut out. On the second attempt it cut out almost immediately. When I turn the key I can't year any humming noise from the car, which I used to hear beforehand. Bought this car just over a year ago, 1 previous company driver, little over 80k at the time with full Ford service history, showing average MPG of just under 50mpg back then. 4. No 3 and 7 seem to tie in with some kind of limp home mode which cgriff40 suggested. I will get some cataclean for now, and use "ultimate" fuel on next fill up.
